Meet the New Brew Guys on the Block

SWVA Brewery

Lonesome Pine Brewing Co.

August 24th, 2019.

A date that a dream ten years in the making had led up to, Southwest Virginia became home to Lonesome Pine Brewing Company. For owner and master brewer, Brenton Moseley, the grand opening coincided with The Forks in the Road Food Truck Festival in Downtown Lebanon, VA and served as a welcoming party and a chance for locals and travelers alike to get their fill of a new flavor of craft brewed beer.

Brenton, his wife Courtney and their five children spent nearly the last year working with business planning, local government officials, and countless advocates through out the community as the licensing procedures with VABC ran their course, and ultimately led to the finished product many of you will come to know and see often on our Brew Trail;  Lonesome Pine Brewing Co.

Growing up in Eastern VA, Moseley lived in small town Virginia where Main Street was bustling, small business thrived, and everyone was your neighbor. That way of life was something he and his wife strived to cultivate for their children, and ultimately was a driving force to their decision to pursue such a venture, not only in SWVA, but in Lebanon, a town with a fairly dry history in terms of Alcohol sales and distribution. Recently, Vincents Vineyards, and Stone Mountain Distillery have laid the footprint for others to follow into the town, and for Moseley and his family, they couldn’t be more excited.

“We have great people here. We have enthusiasm here. We have businesses popping up every week it seems like. I’m hoping I can just be part of that,” says Moseley.

Lonesome Pine Brewing Co. will feature a 12 tap setup behind its rustic wooden bar that will accommodate 10-12 house favorite brews, and will roll out seasonal and signature recipes throughout the year. From Double IPAs to Porters, Stouts and Weizens, Moseley’s brewing style is set to reflect the local palette. “We found out that a lot of folks at the soft opening preferred our Country Kolsch because it was so refreshing on such a hot afternoon that day,” Moseley said, “but as the seasons change and we see more patrons and develop that relationship, we’re going to introduce new things to fill in the gaps with seasonal tastes.

At the time of opening, Lonesome Pine Brewing Co. will be open weekly as per their social media feeds on:

Thursday and Friday from 6pm – 9:30pm

Saturday 1pm – 10pm

Sunday 2pm- 6:30pm
