This brand new event atMountain Lake Lodge immerses visitors in the rich history of the New River Valley and introduces guests to the breathtaking views throughout Giles County and beyond. Its connection to culture and spotlight from the iconic Dirty Dancing film provides an unmatched experience.

Guests can take advantage of the delightful offerings through a Village Marketplace, filled with artisan goods and crafts made from throughout the region. Visitors can experience an cherished meeting with Santa in his cabin on the Mountain Lake Lodge property. Memories are made through the family adventure on the brand new ice rink. Share your stories and laughter over a bite to eat or drink at the winter biergarten.

If your family is looking for a new tradition for the holidays or just need a getaway, explore Mountain Lake Lodge. It is the first time, the 2,600 acre nature preserve and bird sanctuary in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains will be open 365 days a year.

The celebration continues as you make your first memories through 2024. Light it Up! Includes a holiday light displays, delectable cuisine, ice skating, dancing, and special glow-in-the-dark activities. Start the new year with wonder.

As we enter 2024, the Winterfest continues. The resort is also hosting special engagements with the Sauerkraut Band on January 19, 20, 26, and 27 at Harvest. The band, which performs authentic German-style music, is a part of the history at Mountain Lake Lodge and served as the resort’s Oktoberfest for more than 20 years.

Winterfest

The Winter Biergarten will remain open Friday & Saturday from 12 – 8 p.m. and Sunday 12 – 6 p.m. through January 31.

Ice skating is $15 per entry and offered Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Friday & Saturday from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. through March 1.
