The Harry L. Coomes Recreation Center is a 36,000 sq. ft. facility open to the public year-round. Gymnasium - we have 2 full size basketball courts ( 99' x 115' each) divided by a blue drop down curtain.  Each gym rents for $25 per hour or both gyms for $50 per hour.  Includes the use of basketballs, volleyballs, volleyball nets, dodgeballs and badminton nets.  Can be rented for large meetings, tournaments, and open play.  Access to men's and women's: rest rooms, locker rooms and Showers....

The Galax Recreation center consists of an indoor pool, indoor rubber track, cardio room, weight room, community internet lab, 2 full-sized gymnasiums, senior citizen area and fitness room, multi-use activity room and after school program rooms.
