Wolf Creek Picnic Area
Wolf Creek Picnic area is located on the banks of Wolf Creek, a stocked trout stream. The picnic sites and shelter provide good views of the wide free flowing stream. The picnic shelter accommodates about 32 people. Additional picnic sites are scattered throughout the woods. A very scenic ramp/bridge crosses over the stream leading to three loop trails of about two miles each. Parts of these trails are located along an old tramline. Impressions of rail timbers are visible along the grade.ACCESS: From Wytheville: Take I-77 to Bastian Exit #58. Go west about 1/4 mile to US 52. Go south for 1/10 mile to Rt. 614. Follow Rt. 614 for 3 miles to Wolf Creek Picnic Area and trail.
