Restoring Bristol, Virginia’s historic 1925 architectural landmark, The Bristol Hotel opened in October 2018 within the city’s former downtown Executive Plaza building as the first and only boutique hotel in the area reflective of the eclectic mountain city’s industrial roots, musical soul and adventurous Appalachian spirit. Straddling the state lines of Virginia and Tennessee, the 65-room property is located adjacent to the Smithsonian-accredited Birthplace of Country Music Museum and a block from famed State Street. Guests staying in one of the property’s suites can enjoy music-themed programming including an in-room branded Crosley turntable and curated vinyl library.
With both offering live music on-site, the hotel boasts the city’s first rooftop bar with panoramic views of the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains and street-side restaurant, Vivian’s Table showcasing the region’s traditional scratch-made cuisine and local bounty. For meetings and events, the property also features 3,000 sq.ft. of venue space including a historic 1920’s “Arcade”, The Reynolds Boardroom, The King Ballroom and The Shelby Ballroom.
In 2019, The Bristol Hotel was named No. 4 City Hotel in Continental U.S. and No. 53 in Top 100 Hotels in the World by Travel + Leisure’s 2019 World’s Best Awards as well as No. 8 Best New Hotel by USA Today’s 10Best 2019 Awards.
