Old Cranks Motorcar Museum houses an average of 50 Antique, Classic and Special Interest automobiles, ranging from a 1906 Schacht Horseless Carriage, a 1917 Detroit Electric Auto, a 1919 Stanley Steam Car, a 1923 Templar Touring Car, a 1934 Ford V-8, a 1954 Oldsmobile, a 28K mile unrestored 1969 Mustang Mach 1 with a 428 Cobra Jet engine to a 1975 Corvette.There are numerous showcases filled with memorabilia, mostly related to the automobile. The walls are covered with displays related to the fascinating history of Galax and our motoring past.Hand dipped ice cream is served from the 1950’s soda fountain during the warmer months.Just opened is a 15 space, self-pay, full service RV Park behind the museum, conveniently located to downtown Galax, Felts Park and the New River Trail State Park, which features 58 miles of hiking.
