Giles County boasts 37 miles of the majestic New River where it’s depth ranges from a very few inches to a maximum of one hundred feet at the at the base of the towering Palisade Cliffs in Eggleston. River goers can enjoy fishing, rafting, floating, boating, and swimming on the New River Water Trail. Find easy access at public boat landings and private campgrounds, enjoy the water, then stay riverside at a campground or visit a lodging option!

Sections of the New River Water Trail are great for floats to enjoy the scenery, while others offer some of the best fishing spots, while others provide the more adventurous an experience you won’t forget! River goers are encouraged to read and follow all safety information prior to their trip and reach out to a local outfitter with additional questions or for equipment rental.
