We are a working circa 1900 farm in the mountains of Grayson County, close to Galax, VA, home of the Fiddler’s Convention. The Museum has buildings from the 1850’s, to the farm house that was built in 1905. Soon adding our 1830’s cabin to the list of Historical buildings. Events at the Museum have demonstrators, and showcase many artisans from Grayson County and the surrounding area. The Museum has added Music and dance events, which encourage visitor participation. Family fun, like it used to be. Many free events are here at the Museum, so check us out on Facebook and see what we are up to in Grayson County. Our large events are Kick Back the Rug, Civil War Living History, Heritage Day and Quilt Show, plus the ever growing “Light the Porch” Pumpkin Festival. We offer classes throughout the year, which you will find most of these on our Facebook page. We are ever growing adding new events and things to do at the Museum. Step back in time and enjoy the simple life that used to be at our Museum. Open March – Nov. Tues thru Saturday 10am-4pm.
