LOVEwork in Galax

Known for its bluegrass and old time music as well as its annual Old Fiddlers Convention, the Galax City Tourism Department worked with local artists to create a LOVEwork with fiddles, enclosed in a wood and plexiglass case and placed on the side of a building in the center of downtown Galax.

The artwork is permanent and available all year round at the corner of Main and Grayson Street, encouraging music lovers from all over the country to travel to Galax and The Crooked Road to experience the region’s traditional mountain music.

Visitors are encouraged to take photos with the LOVEworks and share with loved ones on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/VirginiaisforLovers or on Twitter with the special hashtag #LOVEVA. A complete list of the LOVEwork locations is at www.Virginia.org/LOVE.
