Located along the 4,500-acre, 21-mile long Claytor Lake in the New River Valley of southwestern Virginia, Claytor Lake State Park offers many activities for water and land enthusiasts. It has a marina and meeting facility and is easily accessible from Interstate 81. It offers swimming, camping, cabins, lodges, nature and history programs, miles of hiking trails, and a visitor center.
Claytor Lake has 12 two-bedroom cabins, one three-bedroom cabin and three six-bedroom lodges, which include a washer and dryer. The three-bedroom cabin is handicapped-accessible. From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, cabins are rented by the week. Otherwise, a two-night minimum stay is required. Maximum occupancy varies so please call the park for details.
