For a culinary and wine experience, visit Wytheville, Virginia, located at the intersection of I-77/I-81 in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Day one:
After your wake-up call and breakfast at one of our 25 hotels, board the coach along with your step-on guide, and travel to Fort Chiswell in southwest Virginia. There you’ll find West Wind Farm Vineyard & Winery and be introduced to handcrafted, award winning Virginia wine froma fourth generation farm. West Wind Farm is open year-round, seven days a week, for tours, tastings and shopping.

If desired, a chef will be on hand offering hors d’oeuves pleasing to the palate and complimenting each tasting. We can also arrange for your group to be served lunch or dinner. They have a variety of wines and have just bottled and released their very first Reisling. The tasting room offers shopping opportunities for local art, wine and accessories, soaps, candles, gift baskets and gourmet food items.

Day Two:
Your second day of wining and dining will take you to Rural Retreat Winery and Vineyard in nearby Rural Retreat, just a few minutes from the interstate. Rural Retreat Winery and Vineyard has been known for making fine wine for over twelve years and the tradition continues. They have over 12 wines that are available for tastings and sales and offer tours by appointment for large and small groups.

The tasting room features a full service deli with Amish-style meats and cheeses serving light fare sandwiches, homemade soups and fresh salads. Meats and cheeses are available for sale by the pound so you can make your own creation and you’ll enjoy fresh-made desserts. Shop in the gift shop for regional arts and crafts.

Your evening entertainment awaits you at the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre, where a four-course meal will be served to your table followed by a Broadway-style musical.
