The newly reopened Mountain Lake Lodge is a getaway featuring cottages, a stone lodge, luxury cottages with fireplaces, and a grand historic Hotel built in 1936 out of native sandstone. The Lodge just opened in May 2013 a new aerial adventure course, Treetop Adventures, as well as, the new Mountain Lake Outfitters! All of the guest rooms in the main stone lodge and chestnut lodge have been completely refreshed!
The resort is located in Giles County, only 30 minutes from the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. The hit movie “Dirty Dancing” was filmed at Mountain Lake in 1986. Enjoy hiking, biking, tennis, wagon rides, outdoor recreation, family entertainment, educational programs for children, even dinner and breakfast–all served in our new signature restaurant, Harvest.
