Shepherd’s Joy Bed and Breakfast

Situated in the Historic District of Abingdon, Virginia, Shepherd’s Joy offers guests the experience of an unhurried life in a Queen Anne country-style home. The house was begun in 1892 and has been lovingly restored keeping the charm of the old and adding the conveniences of the new. Sheep graze peacefully in the pasture of this in-town farm. Guests are welcomed with warm and gracious hospitality as Jack and Joyce Ferratt share the family home. There are four high-ceilinged bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and a private bath. Rooms are comfortably furnished with family heirlooms and memorabilia. There are areas where guests can visit with each other, relax, read, write, or just have a quiet time. Coffee can be enjoyed on the wrap-around porch and a gourmet breakfast is served by candlelight in the formal dining room.
