Legion Park

Formerly, the home of the American Legion Hall, and located on Rt. 619 in Norton, Legion Park was constructed in May of 1996. It features a picnic shelter and access to an interpretive trail with kiosks that give information on local history and various regional tourists attractions. Available by reservation and on a no fee basis, the park contains picnic tables, grills and a water fountain for those who enjoy a rustic atmosphere, within a mile of the downtown area of Norton.

Also on this site is historic stonework, including a wall and fireplace, thought to have been built in the 1930’s by the Civilian Conservation Corp.

To reserve the shelter or for more information, please contact the Norton Parks and Recreation Department at 276-679-0754.
