Appalachian Wilderness Adventure Program

General Info.

The Appalachian Wilderness Adventure Program (AWAP) is a challenging ropes course.

The program is a part of the ministries located at Camp Bethel, which also operates youth summer camp. The Appalachian Wilderness Adventure Program was developed in 1986 to work with churches, youth groups, schools, busineses, social services, and mental health groups. AWAP is an exciting outdoor/indoor activity that can be used to attract all ages. It is comprised of group initiative games, and low and high course activity.

The AWAP course provides an opportunity for every participant to achieve success as an individual or a member of a group or team. The activities are not designed to be competitive. Important objectives such as building individual confidence, developing leadership and a sense of common cooperation among team members are emphasized.
